Excavations ahead of the construction of a new water-treatment plant by Wessex Water revealed a Romano-British settlement and a hoard of over 2000 bronze coins, buried in a building in about 300 A.D. The coins have been cleaned by the British Museum and recently returned to the Museum of Somerset. Non-members are welcome to attend.
